I am basically a 'portable personal assistant' - here when you need me, gone when you dont.
My name is Tonie, and many of you will know me through Ward 3B, Ronald McDonald House, and my sons fb page Get Well Soon Riley. In November 2012, Riley was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Luekaemia, and as a result, we had to relocate from our home in Busselton WA, to Perth for his treatment in PMH. During our time here I learned so much about the added pressures of having a child in Princess Margaret Hospital, and how there is never enough time in the day to care for your child as well as get all those others you need done.
Initially I was creating this page as a way of helping those on 3B - I will spend my time on the things that you need done, so You can spend your time with your child.
It then occurred to me that this is true on ANY ward in PMH.
Talking to friends and family about this, it quickly became apparent that you do not need to have a sick child, or even children at all, to be time poor.
Therefore I have opened my services to everyone!!
I will however, be offering special discount rates to those on Ward 3B, especially in urgent situations, and also to those families in Ronald McDonald House, or The Leukaemia Foundation Housing.
